A Made to Measure Mattresses mattress all have one common feature, they are built using a very supportive bonnell spring system, which includes additional side support springs to ensure total use of the sleeping surface. This also becomes very important in a boat, caravan, and motorhome where we may sit on the edge of the bed more than we would at home.
This supportive spring unit is then top dressed with responsive surface materials, either urethane foam or in the case of top of the range mattresses, Latex rubber is sometimes used.
Our mattresses do not contain any felt pads or cotton wadding as these products inhibit the ventilation of the mattress, promote increased dust mite activity and do nothing for the comfort of the user. Felt also increases the weight of the mattress. It is important to note that it is more expensive to manufacture a soft surface mattress than a firm one, because the softer materials have to be of much higher quality in order to remember to return to their original form throughout the life of the mattress (e.g. no roll together).
All our mattresses are available in either a four inch spring or six inch spring. The four inch spring allows the height of the mattress to be reduced to fit into height restricted areas but without losing any of the comfort. The six inch spring is used mainly for our home mattresses and gives it extra height. We also provide the option of only padding the mattress on one side which again lowers the overall height of the mattress.
Our lower profile mattresses have been specifically designed to suit camper trailers, over the cab beds, beds that push up into the roof of the vehicle (being lighter in weight this will not affect the ability of gas struts) and beds where a normal mattress would be above the height of the window.
Our lowest overall height of an innerspring mattress we can provide is 150mm or 6 inches.

Our Superior mattresses can have the additional luxury of a pillow top incorporated on the mattress. This is another level of foam (memory or Latex) encased in the mattress fabric, stitched onto either the top or both sides of the mattress to provide further comfort.
This is a beautiful mattress. They are made with the comfort of 100% natural Latex Gold. If you like ultimate comfort this is the top of the range. The Latex mattresses have a memory layer over the top of the latex and we make them so you can turn them over, if a mattress is going to last you 20 years we feel it needs to be turned. Latex mattresses can come in soft, medium and firm densities.
